Gallery crawl tonite

Pittsburgh not such a terrible place to live, according to this article (taken from ), which rates it number 3 mid-sized arts city!

Speaking of which, that gallery crawl event happens tonite, 5:30-9 pm, and I will be at the Artists Upstairs gallery, at 911 Penn Ave.

Panoramic view from the Point

You may remember that last year, there was a big egg-shaped piece of art, made from recycled stuff, down at the point during the Three Rivers Arts Festival. They actually had enough material left over after the egg was done to also construct a cube. Well, this year, the big art installation at the point appears to be these “rays” of brightly colored floaty balls extending out from the point in the water. I took this panoramic series, which ended up inverting the triangle.

And there are some undistorted photos here, on my flickr blog.
