Black Tie Revue
So I did something last night that I haven’t done in a long time. I went to the 31st St. Pub. I can’t remember the last time I was there exactly, but it was probably to see a local heavy metal band, such as Doomwatch, for example. If you remember them, then you are an old metalhead from Pittsburgh, too. Anyhoo, the bands there last night weren’t metal at all. It was the CD RELEASE PARTY for Black Tie Revue with Comrad, and Break Up Society. I got a free CD. It was Rock-n-rolly type music. I was reminded of The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, The Ramones, The Cars. I enjoyed for the most part, but it was hella crowded and smokey. With the exception of Las Vegas, not having been around people all that much lately, I was a bit stunned by the experience, especially the unfamiliar faces–not the sort of folks I’m used to seeing at my usual haunts. That’s what I get for changing my scenery.
